Organization of an international scout meeting in Lv
On August 19, in Lviv, on the square in front of the monument to Taras Shevchenko, there was an anniversary interregional and international Plast meeting, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Plast.
The meeting was attended by more than 2000 Plast participants from eight countries: Ukraine, Canada, USA, Australia, Argentina, Poland, UK and Germany.
Lviv was chosen as the meeting place,because here Plast was created in 1912.
Mayor Andriy Sadovyi and Lviv Regional State Administration Head Ivan Grunik also took part.
On the occasion of the centennial of the organization in the square in front of the monument to Taras Shevchenko, rewarded the relatives of the dead who died in the struggle for Ukraine's independence the award of the Iron Cross Orders. The complete list of such victims has 540 names.
Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi congratulated Plast, where he called Plast an example for all of Ukraine.

During the anniversary meeting a new record was set for Ukraine –«Longest chain of Plast shawl». To set a record, Plast used scarves of anniversary long-distance formation meeting.The representative of the Book of Records of Ukraine found that the length of the chain was 392.3 m, and recorded a record of Ukraine.
Celebration of the 100th anniversary of Plast continued until August 24. Plast organized a large scout town in the center of Lviv for the townspeople and their children near the monument to King Danilo.
All Plast events were hosted in four territories: the territory of Khutorivka, the territory of PogulankaPark, the Shevchenkivskyi Hai and the Zolochiv Castle.This was reported by Plast's press service.
Plast Activities - it is a variety of activities that help meeting participants learn something new and develop in a multifaceted development.
Castle of the Knights in the East - this is a block of Activities inthe territoryof Zolochiv Castle. Classes such as: reconstruction of knightly battles, knowledge of the history of the castle and its traditions and customs.
Master Country in the West - this is a block of Activities inthe territoryof Shevchenkivskyi Hai,artistic instruction in forging, weaving and woodcarving.
The capital of the brave in the North - this is a block of Activities in the territoryof PogulankaPark, cycling training, slingshot and bow shootingtraining, kindling fire at speed.
Valley of Adventures in the South- this is a block of Activities inthe territoryofTheological Seminary and UCU, science tent, paintball, volleyball, football and more.
In all these territories, was presented the history of all the camps for all time in Plast's history. Plast participants not only are familiar with the features of other camps, and now got to know their participants more closely.
Roman Kuchkuda, responsible for thePlast meetingprogram, noted that such a variety of activitiesthe organizers are striving so that children not only have fun, but also learned a lot of new and interesting things.

1. Providing access to the Internet everywhere in the event area.
The main challenge of this task was to cover high-quality Internet access to a large living space for participants and venues for the evening program. Thanks to D-link partner company, professional Wi-Fi antennas were installed in the premises of the Theological Seminary, which made it possible to cover the whole territory. The total capacity of the Internet network was about 50 MB / s, it provided a good opportunity to use the Internet for all participants and guests of the meeting.
2. ensuring online registration of participants at the event
At the entrance to the territory of UCU installed 2 large tents for registration of participants.About 2000 people registered for the event. The Organizing Committee was able to monitor the registration in real time, which greatly simplified the work of all services, thanks to the installation of 12 computers, combining them into one network and internet connection.
3. Technical support for the evening meeting program
The evening program for participants was divided into three main parts: performance of music groups at the opening and closing of the event; showing movies and presentations; performance of the participants of the event. For this purpose, a stage was set up measuring 10x6 meters, projection screens 3х4 meters, multimedia projector 5500 Lm, JBL audio equipment 10 kW, and lighting equipment. All performances were broadcast on the big screen, and the performances of the artists were accompanied by professional VJ shows.Presented: 150 meters of the road was illuminated, the road led into the territory of the evening program. films "Silver Earth. Chronicle of Carpathian Ukraine 1919-1939", video biography of an international Ukrainian figure Bohdan Havrylyshyn, country presentations by participants of the meeting.

4. Technical support of the organizers' staff
For the meetingof the organizing committeeit was important to install quality equipment that can operate 24/7. For this purpose a Wi-Fi network was installed in a separate office of UCU ( with a total capacity of 30 MB / s, 10 laptop with wireless access to Ricoh printers( Multifunction A3Laser Device, color and black and white print) and 2 A4 laser printers (color and black and white print)
5. Technical support activities outside the participants' main residence
The basis of the program of the entire meeting was Activities, which were located in four territories: the territory of Khutorivka, the territory of PogulankaPark, the Shevchenkivskyi Hai and the Zolochiv Castle. All four places were provided with professional sound systems(power of 150-500 watts and wireless microphones) and information display systems (projection screens,multimedia projectorand laptops)
6. Technical sound of opening and closing the meeting in the city center.
The official opening and closing of the meeting took place outside the participants' residence. Namely in the center of Lviv near the monuments of T. Shevchenko and I. Franko. Sound systems were installed near these monuments have been installed: 4 kW sound systems and radio microphones. Electricity for event was provided by 3 kW generators.
During the existence of the company, this project was the largest of all conducted and organized. Media Lviv Company has repeatedly supported the public organization "Plast" with both technical and human resources. We, like Plast, had extensive experience in organizing events of this scale.
