Euro 2012: How to ensure public order
From the experience of preparing for the sporting events of the scale of the final part of the European Football Championship, it is clear that requires attraction of investments in construction of sports, transport and social infrastructure facilities, training of specialists on organization and holding of international sports events, formation of a spirit of national unity in the society and positive attitude to the championship as an event of national importance is inextricably linked with the proper maintenance of public order and public safety.
The conference was attended by police officersof the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of Poland, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Moldova, educational establishmentsof the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine from Donetsk, Lugansk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Kiev, Odessa.
The scientific-practical conference was opened by the Marin Oleksandr who is the rector of Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, Militia Colonel, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor. The conference was held in the Leopolis Hall conference hall of the Opera Passage shopping center.
Time for a word of welcome was given to: Anatoliy Movchan is the Head of the Department of Vocational Training, Education and Science of the Personnel Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Candidate of Law, Militia Colonel; Sergiy Zagorny is the Head of the Representative Office of the Hans Seidel Foundation in Ukraine; Bogdan Shur is the Chief of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Lviv region, Major-General of Militia, Doctor of Law. German police spoke about the feasibility of international law enforcement cooperation during a football championship. Polish colleagues talked about preparing the police for the Euro 2012 security operation.
Responsible staff for the championship were present.They represented their cities where wassports duels and talked about organizational measures to ensure public order during Euro 2012.
All speakers at the conference had a questions. Discussed the essence of the steps to be taken in preparation for Euro 2012.Vasily Kiselychnyk, Valery Sereda, Ivan Shved, Dmitry Skovronsky, Myroslav Kovaliv, Olga Balinska, Sergey Yessimov took an active part in the scientific event. These people are scientists of the Lviv State University of Internal Affairs, police officers with extensive practical experience.
